Tulsa dentist websites: the November 2026 snapshot
Tulsa has a lot of dentists, and nearly all of them have a website. We looked at the independent ones across the city and the suburbs to see how those sites hold up. No names here, just the patterns.
01
What we checked, and how
On 2 November 2026 we searched Google's business listings for dentists in Tulsa and its suburbs (Broken Arrow, Owasso, Jenks, Bixby, Sand Springs). That gave 229 listings with a website. We dropped chains, dental groups, hospital systems and anything that wasn't a dentist, which left 167 sites. We loaded their public pages and pulled Google's real-user speed data where it existed. No logins, nothing private.

What keeps going wrong
Google listings pointing at dead sites
Three listings send people to a website that no longer works: an unclaimed domain, an expired site builder plan and a page that returns 404. Someone taps "Website" on the map and gets nothing.
Analytics that stopped counting
At least 3 sites still run only Universal Analytics, with no GA4 alongside it. Google stopped that recording data on 1 July 2023. So those reports have been flat for over three years and nobody's been told.
SEO plugins behind on a security fix
3 sites run All in One SEO Pro below the version that fixes CVE-2026-100152. It's a plugin people install once and forget, which is the problem.
Canonical tags that point the wrong way
Two sites tell Google the "real" address of the homepage is somewhere else. One has a canonical tag that never closes, which also quietly breaks a script further down the page. The other points to a domain that redirects straight back.
Old PHP
One site reports PHP 7.4, below the PHP2Shell fixed builds. PHP 7.4 hasn't had security fixes since late 2022.
